Tahir Farm is all Halal (حلال) family oriented farm focused on Tayyib/welfare (طيب), education, and sustainability for livestock and crops.
Located on 18 acres of well maintained land. We take pride in creating a comfortable place to bring your entire family to enjoy the experience of selecting your animal and waiting for your meat!

It's not a matter of simply turning off the chemical sprayers, but rather an investment in horticulture & sustanable organic alternatives. We do not introduce any chemicals but do vaccinate our livestock.
While technically GMO is halal. We don't use GMO seeds or genetically engineered animals.
Tayyib is a very comprehensive word and has a great place in the Quran and Sunnah. We strive to ensure we run our farm with specifical focus on cleanliness and hygiene. We treat our livestock with great respect, care, and affection.
All of our livestock is free range grass fed with grain finish.

All of our animals have monthly veterinarian visits.
We perform weekly 5 point check and FAMACHA check on all livestock.
Premium & high "show" quality breeds that are hand selected specifically for qurbani. At most only 1 animal is selected out of 300 that don't meet the religious and quality requirements.
Prime targeted age 1 - 2 years old. Animals older than 2 years generally have more meat, but it is extremely tough, chewy and has a more gamey taste. Going younger usually means tenderness but lack of flavor, in addition it is not permissible to qurban animals less than a year old for uḍḥiyyah or aqiqah.
Fed locally produced high quality grain feed and combination of different types of hays.
Monthly Zabihah Monthly Goat / Lamb Zabihah Program
Alhumdullilah! After your great support and the success of quarbani 2019 at our farm, we are excited to continue a monthly goat / lamb halal.
Every month on Saturday & Sunday following the 10th of the month, we would inshallah zabihah and process the livestock.
We work with local farmers who prioritize quality and flavor over size and speed and take the utmost care in making sure your goat / lamb is prepared in accordance Islamic teachings. Perfect for those who want to cook and eat locally, nutritiously, and sustainably.
For this program you MUST reserve your goat 🐐 / lamb 🐑 in advance. Then on Saturday (9am - 5pm) either you can zabihah the animal yourself & take the meat, or pick up the meat on Sunday (9am - 5pm).
For certain locations in New York and New Jersey we can deliver for no additional charge.
BarbecueHave your family BBQ on the Farm
We would love to host your next BBQ at Tahir Farm. We can provide fresh, chicken, goat, lamb, or even cattle.
For general picnic, charges are $600 which includes 6 picnic tables, 2 charcoal grills, 1 blue porta potty, for duration of up to 8hrs.
Rates for additional optional service & amenitie:
- Waste Removal / Garbage Collection: $50
- Lawn cleanup: $25
- Picnic table: $10 per
- Charcoal Grill: $20 per

- Gas Grill (6 burner): $20 (plus $50 per propane tank)
